Trekking in Peru means high to very high altitude hiking and camping. As you ascend in height the temperature cools down. Camping at high altitude equates to subzero nighttime temperatures. Weather can also be very unpredictable in the mountains, especially at high summit passes. It is important to stay warm, dry, well hydrated and well fed in order to fully enjoy the incredible experience of Peru’s pristine wilderness! We pride ourselves on offering the very best equipment for all our treks.
Sleeping tents
Enjoy a good night’s sleep in our spacious tents. All our tents are built to be four man tents, but we use our tents for 2 people. This leaves a lot of room to spread out comfortably and store your duffels. They are with entrances on both sides of the tent. They also include a vestibules in front, giving you some extra outdoor space to leave your boots and walking sticks, and fully watertight construction so your tent doesn’t turn into a lake if it happens to rain.
Private toilets tents
Portable toilets (and toilet tents) are provided on every multi-day camping based treks.there is no need to add additional hiking in the middle of the night when you have to use the bathroom. We set up spotless, environmentally friendly toilet tents, right at your camping sites. This way, you don’t have to bother with the park toilets, that are not in great condition.
