“Our porters represent the Peruvian people, the men who are in our company. It is not possible to create the experience we offer without the incredible work of our team of porters. They are made up of men of different ages who are willing to leave their homes several hours away for days. They are usually farmers. Being a porter is hard work. Unfortunately, you will see at many other companies that the porters wear sandals. Many sleep on the floor without blankets and eat without cutlery. For us, this is an unacceptable way of treating our Peruvian people, which is why we try to be leaders in the treatment of all our porters. We strive to treat them with respect, offering them fair wages and adequate equipment. We care about their health and that of their families, and we are committed to social projects to help enrich their lives.”
