Bird watching tour in Cusco itinerary
Day 1: Cusco – Ollantaytambo – Abra Malaga – Cusco
We will pick you up from your hotel at 3am and drive for around 2 hours to Abra Malaga(4,316m / 14,160.1ft), first stop will be at las peñas, here is possible to see White tufted Sunbeam, creamy crested Spinetail, Swallow-tailed Hummingbird, Ornate Tinamou, after we continue to the top of the Mountain and visit the Polylepis forest, area where we will have the chance to see Striped headed Antpitta, White browed Tit-Spinetail, Tawny Tit-Spinetail, Line fronted and Junin Canastero, Royal Cinclodes, Ash breasted Tit-Tyrant, Giant Conebill, Thick billed Siskin, Puna Tapaculo, White winged Diuca Finch and a lot more birds traveling in flocks.
In the afternoon finally it’s just a 2 hour drive back to Cusco. We drop you off at your Cusco hotel around 7pm, weary but with incredible memories of a very unique day.
